Your Gateway to Germany - Wismar

The opening of the Columbus Cruise Center in Wismar on September 9th was marked by the successful visit of MS Saga Ruby.

CCCW sees itself as a service provider and competence centre for cruise passengers, shipping lines, tour operators and ships' agents.

As a member of the historical Hanseatic League as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Wismar can offer its visitors many sights worth seeing, such as old historic buildings from "Backsteingotik" era or the period of Swedish domination. The "Alte Hafen" (old harbour) is near the Cruise Terminal and welcomes its visitors with inviting cafés, cosy restaurants and picturesque fishing vessels. And it's only a stone's throw to the historic centre of the town. A combination of ancient and modern. Proximity to the Autobahn network also make Wismar the perfect starting point for day trips to Schwerin, Lübeck, Rostock, Hamburg and Berlin.

Maritime and Baltic flair in a lively and vibrant city

CCCW "Small but mighty"

The World in Wismar

This year's cruise season has demonstrated once more – the Hanseatic city of Wismar can live up to its motto, "small but nice". A total of eight cruise vessels called this year at the most southerly port of Mecklenburg's Baltic coastline. And a total of 4,300 passengers were welcomed by the "gemütlich" and almost family atmosphere of the old port with its traditional fish-roll stands and granaries. More Information>>>
